About Nathan Schleinkofer, M.D.
Dr. Nathan Schleinkofer is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology and Attending Neurologist at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, specializing in neuromuscular medicine.
Dr. Schleinkofer completed his medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, followed by neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology-EMG fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell Campus). He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and he is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is also a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the Phi Beta Kappa medical honor society.
Dr. Schleinkofer performs electromyography (EMG) as part of his diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the peripheral nervous system including but not limited to: peripheral neuropathy, radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, myopathy, motor neuron disease, and myasthenia gravis. He is also comfortable seeing a wide range of other neurologic conditions.
Dr. Schleinkofer is a clinician educator and is passionate about medical education, serving as the Associate Director of the Neurology Residency Clinic. He strives to bring humanism, empowerment, and excellence to both his patients and students, and this has been recognized with multiple honors, including the Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and the Dr. John J. Caronna Award for Excellence in Clinical Neurology.
